To begin with, I must disclose that Melanie Simpson is a long-time friend of mine, but she has no idea that I recently bought her book and am now leaving feedback. One of the things that struck me most about the book is that it reads just like Melanie talks to her friends. I could definitely hear her voice as I read it. I've known Melanie for many years and have witnessed her triumphs and struggles in rearing two precocious children. She speaks of her challenges and the challenges that have faced her children in frank, faith-filled terms. I highly recommend this book. Whether one is a new mom, an experienced mom, or a seasoned mom, the reader will enjoy this read. This book also makes for a great Mother's Day or "New Mom's" gift.Product details

This is a book that not only can I not put down, but I want to read all over again. It is full of meaningful stories very and funny ones. Not a mom yet (2 months to go), but this book speaks to me even in the before stages.

Melanie Simpson's a delight and reading her chatty "slice of life" stories will add joy to your day. Insightful, funny, real life glimpses into the daily walk of a woman who loves Jesus, her man and her kids. A great read and the short chapters make it easy to tuck into a diaper bag or pull out while your waiting in the carpool line. This is a PERFECT gift for mothers and mother's to be!
Over the past 10 years (and 3 kids) of parenting and being a Mom, this is the first book to be "the one", speaking to the truh of parenting and giving real, practical guidance and examples of being the best Mom through God.
Beautiful stories, even a non Mom can identify with the stories and the thoughtful way they are related back to the Word. Recommend this book to all who forget that life is too short.
